Dry dock

So great to hear from some of our key peeps, thanks so much everyone who contributed to the Massive Update! Great to see there’s plenty of commercial studios thriving AND a few fanatics passionately flailing, of which I count myself very much among the later.

So what does an M3 restart look like?

We’re probably not going to start a non-profit anytime soon. Or hire staff. There isn’t a charismatic celebrity itching to herd us cats.

To the relief of many I’m sure, I will not be leading the M3 resurrection. I don’t mind stepping up as a tasty spokesmodel infrequently, organizing a Micro Movie Marathon once in awhile, posting a slightly amusing rant now and then… but I’m beautifully booked. I’m ranging way farther as an artist than ever before and having a blast, generating and deploying lots of actual CONTENT in support of the gentle release for Daughter of God.

I’d like some version of M3 to be in MY mix. I love the idea of keeping the network connections fresh, of sharing what I’m about and hearing what everyone else is up to. Of somehow encouraging collaboration. Of letting the wider world know there are movie making resources in Northern Michigan. I’m guessing many of us feel the same way.

So is there a plan?

Meetings once in awhile. Show and tells occasionally. Posting things here.

Let’s keep it simple and sustainable.

Who wants to schedule and organize an informal gathering? Consider this your call to action.
