M3 meeting this Wednesday

February’s theme is M3 planning – setting our agenda for the next 6 months. Dan Kelly has proposed that we dedicate the March meeting to talent – introductions to regional actors and models (non-union) and how to set up a SAG (Screen Actors Guild) project. We’ve got another Micro Movie Marathon coming up in July, so what happens in April, May and June? Gear, recruiting local writers for script collaborations, developing a production guide, locations…? We’ll identify future meeting themes and maybe some new hosts will step up to organize and facilitate.

You’ve been thinking about what you can do to grow M3, haven’t you?

Wednesday 6:30 – 8:30 pm, Inside Out Gallery, 211 Garland Street in Traverse City (map).

Sources have revealed that Dan Kelly is personally forking over his own money to pay the monthly rental fee at Inside Out Gallery and buys the snackage as well…. I think this is an outrage. Let us woman and man up to lend Dan Kelly some support in this worthy project. In this regard, let us discuss a fee/membership/contribution scheme to fairly absorb this cost throughout our membership. Thanks, Dan, but, your moneys no good here anymore…..

  2. Pish posh! Steve Jobs sunk 5 mil into Pixar to get it off the ground, he knew a good investment and so do I. What M3 needs most, what Dan Kelly would most appreciate is a dedicated cadre of core facilitators, consistent bloggers at large and community advocates. Money is way too easy. Time and concentration is what really counts.
