Hey All,
Here is a letter I wrote to Dan to pass along to you. Now he made me able to pass it along myself! Yay technology!
Some of it is about me, you can skip that stuff if you want to.

Dan,
Thanks for a cool M3 meeting last night. I enjoyed meeting Andrea and watching Sara’s project. I think that it’s an interesting mix of people with broad ranges of experience and desire.
Oh yeah, this is Jeff Morgan from Prometheus Motion Pictures. I told you I would send things your way about myself and what not.
First, a gentleman last night was mentioning free music. You might want to share this link on the M3 page:
http://incompetech.com/m/c/royalty-free/
Great great resource for free music of all styles.
Also, a very high caliber site for hearing what production professionals are talking about is:
http://www.reduser.net/forum/forum.php
These are some high-caliber folks who are kind of Red Centric, but if someone takes their time a reads a lot, they can learn a TON and understand the nature of the forum before posting.
A “step down” in caliber, but a great fit for the more “aspiring” creative type is:
Fantastic for people who are more green to work their problems out with an understanding group of people.
Last thing for today is:
The amount of information in the forums, tutorials, and other sections of the site is just amazing. When I have a technical problem or want to learn how to do something, this is the first place I go to… after Google, lol.
… ok, Last last thing:
the podcasts here are free and fabulous! I particularly like THE RC, because it focuses on professional cinematography, but there are ones of FX, post and more!
So a bit about me. Here is the bio from my site:
JEFFREY T. MORGAN
Director, Producer, Editor, Writer & Cinematographer ( Local 600 )
He discovered the arts as early as he can remember and never looked back. Earning his BFA in Digital Cinema and Electronic Imaging, then living in Los Angeles and working his way up in the Motion Picture and Advertisement fields of production. He moved back to Michigan to make his first feature film, Folk Lore, and has followed it up with numerous documentaries, commercials, corporate videos, feature films and more. He has won awards with his fictional, commercial, and documentary work.
Life has helped inform sensitive and sensible collaborations with Child and Adult Foster Care, Mental Health Agencies, Charitable Organizations, and more.
Some of the hobbies that have helped in Jeff’s work include the martial arts, musicianship, illustration, cultural studies, and generally geeky things like Dungeons & Dragons.
Jeff has has offices in Detroit, Ann Arbor and Traverse City.
I always have a lot of things “going on”, it is just a matter of whether it is a bunch of paid work or not at any given time, lol. But I am lucky in that I can say I make a full time living doing professional video work in all styles. I also teach seminars in Detroit on Editing and Cinematography, and have been known to run screenwriting groups whenever committed people show an interest. My typical clients include indie filmmakers, AOL, GMC, Yahoo!, Discovery Channel, PBS, Child and Family Services, Community Mental Health and numerous local corporate clients.
I don’t know if I am what you want, but I would be happy to show some work and talk about what it’s like to be a working professional in the area. I love to teach, share, talk and learn. So if you ever have an opening in your schedule for M3, let me know!
For now, please feel free peruse my reels and some other stuff. Not all of my biggest work is here, because a lot of it hasn’t been released yet so I don’t have access to it.
Foggy Swamp – Just something I shot for fun in a spare 5 minutes I had one morning
Here is the FIRST DRAFT of a nationwide ad I just shot with the Red One, M sensor, and am in the process of color correcting – MOBIBO
And then Arial Color, which is just something I shot for fun to bolster my reel.
If you have some time to kill, lol, feel free to watch some NO BUDGET shorts I produced, directed, shot and edited! One in under 48 hours!
The Killer Chronicles (Killer of Killers) – you will need the password “killer”
Chain of Life – 48 hr ff
Again, these are not a representation of my professional work, per se, but fun projects on the side or in development while I continue to work on making a living.
I know this is a long disjointed email, but I hope it helps.
