Interlochen’s Future of Cinema Film Festival

Interlochen Center for the Arts Future of Cinema Film Festival is this weekend – Oct 13 -15th, at the DeRoy Center for Film Studies on the Interlochen campus.

Our festival showcases film and screenwriting work sent from High School Students all over the world.  We also have special guests Dennis Muren, Academy-award nominated special effects artist and pioneer whose works include Star Wars, ET, Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom, Jurassic Park, Terminator 2 and Super 8, AND Jeff Wozniak, senior digital artist at Industrial Light and Magic whose work can be seen in all three new Star Wars, Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Askaban, Avatar, and Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man’s Chest among other films.

Events that are open to the public include the student screenings and the guests’ special presentations:

Thurs, Oct 13: 7:30 pm Animation and Documentary Screenings

Friday, Oct 14: 7:30pm Special Guest Dennis Muren

Saturday, Oct 15:  11am – Screenwriting Reading; 2:30pm – Narrative Screening, 7:30pm Special Guest Jeff Wozniak
