Here are some lovely pics from last Wednesday’s evening with Rich Brauer. He was so generous with his time and information. I learned a lot and enjoyed every second of the night, meeting new people and greeting friends.
Dan Kelly got us started in the right direction.

Then Rich began the main event.
Rich had prepared a presentation that walked the 35 or so of us gathered at the Inside Out Gallery through the steps of his pre-production workflow, showing us the detailed administrative work and paper trail that must be done before even casting the film.

Amber Elliott, who served as the script supervisor for Dogman 2, walked us through some of her duties and how she kept track of the myriad details that are essential to her role. I found this information very valuable, and enjoyed the candid discussion of how her day to day process on set contributed to the overall project.
Amber Elliot and a giant script
We got to see pictures of the places in Benzie county where filming took place. Getting to see the day to day paperwork that keeps the entire project orderly and straight forward provided an intimate look at the real behind the scenes work that the entire team participates in.
We then were treated to an unedited scene and then the rough edit of the same scene.
Rich again
Rich took questions from the curious crowd and then thanked the several members of his team who were in the audience. There will likely be an opportunity to see the film soon at the State Theatre. Stay tuned for more details on that…
A good time was had by all, and as we all went our separate ways I could not help but notice the good will and camaraderie that is part of M3. Great night, people!
